Research On The Characteristics Of Sun Long's Flower And Bird Painting

Sun long's coloring of mogu style rare in the early Ming dynasty.However,the record of painting history is very brief,and there are not many works handed down,which makes it more difficult for later generations to understand sun long.Today I was lucky to see five works confirmed as sun long,most of the works only seal,no author's inscriptions.Among them,the album of flowers,birds,grass and insects in Shanghai museum and the album of sketching of life in the national Palace Museum in Taipei,it has been suggested in recent years that these two sets of album are originally the same work,and have been circulated in the form of the same book for a period of time,which can be called the album of sketching in twenty-four chapters.The author believes that the combination of these two groups of album study,one plus one is greater than two,through the work subject,brushwork,color,picture layout and other aspects of the analysis of the two sets of works for an all-round,multi-angle understanding,and combined with sun long's other works,sun long's flower and bird paintings have a more in-depth exploration.Then the works of flower and bird painters in the same period of sun long are compared and analyzed,and the relationship between sun long and other flower and bird painters in the same period is sorted out.Finally,the influence of sun long's artistic style on flower and bird paintings is discussed.
