In this paper, the author's attribution and creation time of "White Lotus Society Picture" by Zhang Jin in the Northern Song Dynasty are questioned. It is analyzed from four aspects: firstly, from the origin of the lotus society and collection to sort out,it can be concluded that there was no word "white lotus society" before the Southern Song Dynasty and the collection was confused and unclear before Liang Qingbiao's collection in the early Qing Dynasty;secondly, starting from the painting style of the works, taking the paintings from the Song Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty, which are acknowledged to be correct in age,as the object of analysis.By comparing the lines of the white portrayed characters, the brush and ink images of mountains and rocks, and the landscape structural patterns,it is believed that the age of Liao Bo Ben is not the period of Northern Song Dynasty, but the earliest painting of Southern Song Dynasty or early Yuan Dynasty;thirdly, the paper analyzes the style of calligraphy from the shape, method and knot of the postscript, and concludes that there is no postscript earlier than the Southern Song Dynasty, and the conclusion is consistent with the speculated time;fourthly,by combing the literature description and comparing the existing images of the Lotus Society,it is inferred that the style of Liao Bo Ben's powder version should be the version of "Lotus Society picture" of Ma Hezhi in Southern Song Dynasty. |
