Criticism Of "Xin Gongbi"

The process of the development of "New Fine Inkbrush" art up to now,could be roughly divided into three stages: in the 1980 s and 1990 s,through the historical opportunity of the new wave of the 85 s,the Jiangnan culture around Jinling area,gave birth to the evolution in the technique and the concept of traditional Fine Inkbrush by Jiang Hongwei and Xu Lei,which was the beginning of the art of "New Fine Inkbrush";at the turn of the century,with the transfer of the "New Fine Inkbrush " group from its original core activity area Nanjing in where Jiang Hongwei and Xu Lei lived to Beijing,"New Fine Inkbrush" art gradually took shape in the exploration of art style by the artists such as Zhang Jian,Xu Hualing and Zhu Zhengming;at the beginning of the 21 st century,the art of "New Fine Inkbrush" has been further developed in its exploration of art style and its promotion of influence.Correspondingly,"New Fine Inkbrush" was not only gradually known by the art circles through a series of exhibitions with the discussions among critics and theorists,but also gradually became an academic concept during 2005 to 2008.Although,from duration term,the concept of "New Fine Inkbrush" has been constantly adjusted itself by relevant critics and theorists with the review of the development of "New Fine Inkbrush",the mainstream cognition of "New Fine Inkbrush" is still mostly confined to the conceptual nature and other characteristics which came from its formation stage.In fact,the dialectical relations between art concept and art practice has been affecting the development of Chinese painting from the 19 th century till now,and the artistic value and academic value of "New Fine Inkbrush" is precisely reflected in,it not only transcends the stipulation of bondage in the traditional concept of "Fine Inkbrush" through conceptual,but also,it transcends its own concept which exists in the art field through the regression of painting by absorbing of nutrition in traditional art,it is not only a case that reflects the development of Fine Inkbrush paintings at the turn of the century,but also promoting a fashion by its artistic sensitivity,which further provides some inspiration for the contemporary creation of Fine Inkbrush paintings.
