Then the paper comes to the conclusion that fine brushwork painting of figures in China now develops by innovating the tradition as well as inheriting the tradition, distinguishing itself from foreign culture as well as draw lessons from foreign culture. While needing diversity in style, Chinese painting should be innovated in the degree of not losing itself. The Chinese artists should have an international vision in art, closely follow the real life and cultural and humane background with the profound traditional culture as the foundation. They should be fond of absorbing new ideas and techniques form others and keep the conformity between form and art. They should follow the ancient principle of"taking the nature as the model and creating art works with one's mind."The only ways for the development of fine brushwork painting in China are emphasizing the unique feature of Chinese traditional art, expressing the aesthetic standards of Chinese nation, and reflect the spiritual pursuit of the people in the modern world.
