Experience Of Calligraphy Creation Based On "Zhang Menglong Stele" As The Prototype

the stele of Zhang Menglong is a representative stele in the regular script of the Wei stele.It was highly praised by many calligraphers in the movement of Stele Study in the Qing Dynasty,established its important position in the stele of the Wei stele,and was sought after and adopted by later calligraphers.This stele occupies an important position in the development history of the regular script and has a profound influence on the development of the later regular script.this paper is divided into four chapters: the first chapter explains the purpose and significance of the topic,and expounds the current research situation and research methods of the subject from Song Dynasty to modern times.The second chapter gives a detailed introduction to the formation time,shape and display place of the stele of Zhang Menglong.From the national style of the ruling class to the cultural background of the coexistence of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism during the formation of the stele,and then from the relatively loose policy of the stele at that time to the historical background of the development of calligraphy in the Northern Wei Dynasty,it discusses the historical reasons that can not be ignored when the stele was formed Raptor monument has its own unique characteristics in the aspects of stippling,structure and composition,which is also the important reason why the monument has been studied by many calligraphers.In this chapter,the artistic style of the monument is elaborated in detail in the form of illustrations and texts from stippling,structure and composition.The third chapter expounds the previous research and inheritance of this monument from the following three aspects:Zhao Mingcheng recorded this monument in the records of Jinshi in the Song Dynasty,the biography of Confucius,the biography of his master,Zheng Qiao’s Jinshi Lue,Zhao Gu’s records and simple comments on Zhang Menglong’s monument in the late Ming Dynasty and Guo Zongchang’s Jinshi history;the study on this monument by the calligraphers in the Qing Dynasty under the background of stelology The modern calligraphers Qigong,Li Shutong and Xu Beihong studied this monument.the fourth chapter is the key chapter of this paper,so this chapter focuses on the discussion.Because in the practice of copying and creation,each person will have different perspectives,directions and cognitive understanding,so in the study of copying and creation,they will have their own different understandings and viewpoints.This chapter respectively discusses the experience of learning and Research on the stele of Zhang Menglong from two aspects of copying and creation:first,in the aspect of copying experience,it mainly discusses the importance of copying;the application of two methods of accurate copying and accurate back facing in copying the stele and the matters needing attention in the practice of specific copying.second,in the aspect of creation,it mainly discusses the application of brushwork and the expression of the form of stippling;it should stabilize the center of gravity with a reasonable right angle of elevation and reflect the characteristics of the side of the body,On the basis of the natural and harmonious layout of the composition,we should appropriately make the font large and small,and the font light and heavy in the overall composition to enrich the content of the composition.
