Research On Kang Youwei's New Art Though

Focusing on the social situation of China’s early industrialization development,this study explores the causal relationship between Kang Youwei’s new art thought and its continuation.This not only includes the determination of the Chinese people to work hard to "save the country and survive",but also the factors of heterogeneous culture "spreading from east to west",and the process of Kang Youwei’s years of overseas travel "metabolism".The article gradually transforms the textual materials into empirical materials needed in the research process through in-depth study,sorting,and induction of Kang Youwei’s personal works,letters,and other textual materials,thereby establishing the theoretical foundation for Kang Youwei’s research on new art ideas.First of all,by analyzing the shortcomings of the industrialization process during the Westernization Movement(the military industry was founded for the purpose of maintaining the feudalism,and the civil industry also served the military industry,excluding the needs of people’s livelihood from the industrial development),the paper summarized Kang Youwei’s purpose of saving the country and the people,and proposed the reasons for the people-oriented development of industry;Analyze the content related to design contained in his advocacy of abolishing the imperial examination,establishing schools,and developing industries and industries.Secondly,based on Kang Youwei’s "material salvation" strategy,research will be focused on science and technology,economic development,and people’s production and lifestyle.At the same time,we will expand our perspective to the diverse interweaving of industrial education,business industry,and design.Based on this,we will sort out the development of the late Qing business industry and education industry,analyze the impact of Kang Youwei’s new art ideas,and elucidate the role of design in the process of social modernization transformation.By summarizing the shortcomings of Kang Youwei’s personality and the lack of scientific theoretical knowledge,this paper analyzes the internal causes of his confusion about the concepts of industry and technology,and regards industrial development as the reason for political attachment and assistance.The paper concludes by summarizing the reasons why Kang Youwei’s new art ideas are one of the origins of modern Chinese design theory;As well as its historical contribution and inspiration for modern design,it confirms that Kang Youwei’s new art ideas have a certain thrust on Chinese modern design and are an important component of studying China’s industrial development and design theory.
