As an important member of China's traditional national musical instruments,Erhu has a history of more than a thousand years and has developed rapidly in the past 100 years. It is known as the "Chinese violin" and is loved by people for its rich expressiveness and unique sound.Since the 1980s,composers have continued to explore the art of erhu, absorbing Western modern composition techniques and playing styles, and creating many works that maintain both traditional music features and modern composition techniques, the artistic content of the erhu has been enriched, which has promoted the development of erhu art.The work "Shuangyu" is a work by Mr.Tan Dun in the form of erhu and dulcimer duo, using Western modern composition techniques and ethnic music elements. This thesis makes a brief exposition of the composer's background experience by studying Mr.Tan Dun's erhu and dulcimer duo works "Double Scorpion",analyzes the structure of the work, and makes the difficulty of the work in the performance of the erhu learner's point of view. The use of techniques, the use of skills and the emotional aspects were elaborated. Finally, the contribution and enlightenment of this work to the development of Erhu performance art was illustrated.I hope that through the analysis of this work,it can provide little more power for the development of contemporary erhu art.
