The County Lieutenant Experience And Poetry Creation Of Poets In The Mid-Tang Dynasty

Sheriff in the Tang Dynasty were primary civilian officers responsible for carrying out specific public affairs.They were responsible for collecting taxes,arresting thieves,hearing cases and maintaining local public order.After the Anshi Rebellion,the people's livelihood was depressed and the population decreased dramatically.During this period,sheriff were abolished many times,and the group of sheriff also showed a new look.Many poets in the mid-Tang Dynasty expressed the experiences of their sheriff,such as Duguji,Qian Qi,Liu Changqing,Bai Juyi,Meng Jiao and Yao He.It provides us with rich poetry materials for the study of this group.This paper tries to discuss the experience of sheriff and the creation of poetry in the middle Tang Dynasty from the following aspects:The first chapter introduces the general situation and literary attainment of the sheriff in the middle Tang Dynasty.Including the establishment of sheriff,the way to select sheriff,the role and career prospects of county lieutenants.It focuses on the impact of the abolition and restoration of sheriff on literati's career in the mid-Tang Dynasty.At the same time,the way of becoming an official and the poetry creation of the sheriff in the middle Tang Dynasty County are combed and summarized.It mainly includes two aspects:the way of becoming an official and the poetry works of the sheriff in the middle Tang Dynasty County.Most of these sheriff entered the government through imperial examinations,among which most of them came from bachelor's degree,so they have high literary attainment.The second and third chapter select four sheriff poets in the Mid-Tang Dynasty as the representatives and mainly focus on their experiences and poetry creation.The second chapters analysis and reveal respectively to Lantian sheriff Qian QI,Changzhou sheriff Liu Changqing,Zhouzhi sheriff Bai Juyi and Li Yang sheriff Meng Jiao,which of them include county official business and daily life,pay attention to social reality,during thier state of mind and the change of experiences,the choice of "official" and"hermit"and the sheriff experience on its poetry creation,etc.so as to deepen the understanding of sheriff.The chapter four,the author analyzes the experiences of other poets and their poetic creation.There are not many poems related to the experience of sheriff,but they reflect some information such as their cognition of the sheriff,their entertainment after official duties and the mentality in terms of office.
