A Probe Into The Gender Characteristics Of Female Poets’ Poems In The Tang Dynasty

The article mainly focuses on two aspects,one is to confirm the number of poems retained by women in the Tang Dynasty;the other is to explore the gender characteristics of female poems in the Tang Dynasty.To confirm the total number of poems written by women in the Tang Dynasty,female poets’ poems in 13 literatures are counted,and with the help of Mr.Chen Shangjun’s works named "Discrimination of Female Poets in the Tang Dynasty",the specific number of female poets and their poems in the Tang Dynasty are confirmed:there are 76 female poets in the Tang Dynasty and 342 poems are created by them.To explore the gender characteristics of poetess’ s poems in the Tang Dynasty,the paper analyzes poems of the female poets in the Tang Dynasty from three aspects:subject matter,emotion and language,and draw conclusions that:In the choice of themes,the gender characteristics of poetess’ s poems in the Tang Dynasty are mainly performed in two aspects.First,pay much attention on men,which is mainly expressed in the poems of interpersonal conmunications 、emotions and histories;second,self-centered,which is mainly expressed in the poems of sceneries and objects.In the use of image,the gender characteristics of poetess’ s poems in the Tang Dynasty are mainly reflected in the concentration of their emotions.They indulged in love,cherish their youth and endured loneliness.In the use of language,the gender characteristics of the female poets’ poems in the Tang Dynasty are mainly manifested in the use of allusions and the use of words.The poetess prefer to use the allusions of female protagonists and allusions aiming to praise others,prefer to use notional words to express their delicate perceptions and negative emotions.At the same time,we believe that the gender characteristics of the female poets’ poems in the Tang Dynasty are caused by both social and personal factors.The social factor lies in the inequality of the status of men and women caused by politics,economy,law and culture.The personal factor lies in the insufficient development of women,as the independent individual,the Tang Dynasty haven’t provided proper education to women.
