A Series Of Researches On The Acting Officials Of The Sui Dynasty

Sui Dynasty’s official system has an important position in the history of Chinese political system.Sui Wendi and Sui Yangdi respectively carried out a reform of official system,establishing The Three Departments and Six Ministries System,reforming the military attache system and the local official system,and establishing the Honorary office title and Position name without actual position.This set of complete official system was basically used by the Tang Dynasty and had a great impact.Therefore,there are a lot of researches on the official system in Sui Dynasty,especially in the institutional history,fruitful results have been achieved.However,according to " Sui Shu Baiguan Zhi Xia",the main document of Sui Dynasty officials,all kinds of problems remain to be verified,including omissions,mistakes,ambiguities and contradictions.A large number of epitaphs of Sui and Tang dynasties recorded the names of officials in Sui dynasties,which also had some problems,such as taboo,nicknames,special characters,special examples of articles and other issues.This thesis takes the official documents of Sui Dynasty as the research object,mainly through the collation of documents and the method of mutual verification with the unearthed epitaph,the addendum and textual research of" Sui Shu Baiguan Zhixia",to present the complete picture of the official documents of Sui Dynasty,and to compile and summarize the problems in the interpretation of official documents of Sui Dynasty from official history and epitaphs.On the basis of literature research,this part discusses the office system of Sui Dynasty.This article is divided into four parts:The first part:Introduction.This part expounds the importance and feasibility of textual research on Sui Dynasty officials,and sorts out the existing research results of the academic circles on the official systen of the Sui Dynasty..The second part:the first half of the paper-correction of the official name and rank of Sui Shu Baiguan Zhi Xia.Mainly through collating,textual research,historical materials and epitaph cross-reference method to " Sui Shu Baiguan Zhixia" recorded in the Sui Dynasty official name textual research and addendum.This article is divided into four sections,which respectively textual research the official positions that are repeatedly recorded and incorrectly recorded in the "Sui Shu Baiguan Zhixia".It supplements the official positions that actually exist in the Sui Dynasty but are lost in the book,and the official positions that exist in the Sui Dynasty but are lost in the rank,and the official positions that exist in the rank but are lost in the name.In the additional discussion,the temporary official positions not recorded in " Sui Shu Baiguan Zhixia" are classified into two types for compilation and research.The third part:the second part of the paper-the explanation of the documents related to the Sui Dynasty officials.Mainly through the textual research of the title of Sui Dynasty official documents,this part analyzes the relevant issues recorded in history books and unearthed documents.There are six sections,the first two sections distinguish the mistakes in the records,punctuation of Sui officials in history books and unearthed documents.The third to fifth sections respectively examine the influence of the nicknames,taboo and tongjia words of officials on the records of Sui officials,and the last section summarizes six special examples of Sui Dynasty officials recorded in historical writing.Part Ⅳ:Conclusion.This part summarizes the full text and discusses the significance of textual research for the study of institutional history.
