In recent years,China exchanges among countries have become increasingly friendly and many foreigners wish to further their study career in China.In the face of growing communication demands,it is more critical for students to learn compliments as one of the daily communication techniques.It is conducive to improving the oral expression ability of foreign students and promoting the consistency of communication between parties provided that these students could be proficient in distinctive forms of compliments.This article mainly by learning the differences in expressions and functions of both Chinese and English compliments,so as to analyse the impact of them on teaching.Based on the Chinese compliment teaching method,we firstly start with the definition and classification of bilingual compliments by comparison and then help foreign students make advance judgments on problem solutions when they study Chinese compliments.after an in-depth analysis from textbooks named "Communicative Chinese","301 Spoken Chinese" and "Happy Communication Stepped Conversation Textbook".This research has also adopted a questionnaire survey to investigate the application of compliments among international students,and eventually combined interviews to increase the authenticity of the questionnaire.It was found that when international students use compliments,expressions of compliments will appear.Issues such as improper selection and analysis of the causes of these problems.Finally,we take a quantitative analysis method and combine the previous research results to provide some practical suggestions for teaching materials,teachers,and foreign students whose native language is English.
