Weng Ouhong,a very important opera writer in the history of Peking Opera in China,who is famous for his rich experience and numerous masterpieces.As a traditional scholar,he was able to integrate the stage rules of Peking Opera on the basis of classical literature based on tradition,and skillfully applied western drama theory to traditional creative techniques.As a creator of opera,he was able to create scripts from the perspective of audience,actor and director,thus making his plays both literary and stage values.His creative ideas are of great value to modern times,among which the creators of opera have important guiding and enlightening significance.The purpose of this paper is to study Weng Ouhong's thought of opera creation.The first chapter focuses on the analysis of Weng Ouhong's background of the times and his creative experience,and summarizes the factors influencing the formation of Weng Iu-hong's thought of opera creation.The second chapter elaborates Weng Ouhong's opera from three points including paying attention to the literariness of opera creation,pursuing the stage nature of opera creation and paying attention to the aesthetic taste of the audience.Chapter three discusses the artistic characteristics of Weng's dramas from three aspects covering structure,language and theme through the analysis of Weng's dramas.Chapter four analyses the relationship among the writers,actors and audiences in the light of Weng's creative experience,and expounds and summarizes the inspiration of Weng's dramatic creation thoughts to the development of modern operas and the creators of operas from the perspective of inheritance and innovation.These four chapters constitute the research content of this paper,through the study of Weng's creative thought,so as to draw useful parts from the previous creative experience for the development of modern opera and inspire new creative ideas of modern opera creators.
