A Comparative Study Of Chinese Reese Subject English And American CHPCS School Immersive Foreign Language Teaching

This dissertationis based on the teaching practice of RISE and the Confucius Institute in Cascade Heights Public Charter School(CHPCS),compares these two.Put forward some suggestions for the American immersion Chinese teaching project.The main content of this dissertation is divided into five parts.In chapter one,Analyzes the current status of the American Chinese immersion teaching mode,and reviews the literature and documents of this field.In chapter two,Introduce the RISE teaching mode from four aspects: curriculum setting,course content,teacher selection,and relationship between parents and school.In chapter three,Introduce the immersion Chinese teaching mode in American primary schools.The author will firstly introduce the development status of immersion second language teaching in the United States and the mainly situation of Confucius Classroom at the Confucius Institute in Portland State University.Then introduces the American primary school immersion Chinese teaching mode from these aspects like teaching status,teaching methods,teacher selection and training etc.With treating CHPCS Confucius Classroom as a typical example.In Chapter four,Firstly compares the RISE teaching mode with the American immersion Chinese teaching mode,and then according author's teaching experience in RISE and CHPCS to make the suggestion for the American immersion Chinese teaching mode.In Chapter five,Is the conclusion part.The author will sort out the dissertation in this chapter and further propose the deficiency and prospect of this research.The dissertation is based onthe teaching experience in RISE and Confucius Classroom to make a detailed observation of the content of this research from several perspectives and make some suggestions on how to further improve American immersion Chinese teaching.
