An Analysis Of The Identity Choice Of Independent Curators In Non-profit Art Institutions

Present a thriving prosperity of contemporary art in China,but not all forms of art in the contemporary art makes official,entered the mainstream art,it can be badly in need of a batch of disputes for these niche or mainstream art form to carry on the propaganda and extension,and the emergence of independent curator has become indispensable in the contemporary art career.But in Chinese contemporary art,independent curator’s survival present situation is not ideal,as a purely exotic,another import it with nonprofit art institutions for a long time can’t into our country’s artistic atmosphere,although a slight improvement in the years of exploration,from the development of the situation is still precarious.This paper will focus on the current environment,independent curator in nonprofit art institutions,how to choose to choose their own identity,and how to stick to the independent curator of the performance of duties.
