An Analysis Of The Issues Of Etiquette And Law In The Late Eastern Han Dynasty

From a certain perspective,"ritual" and "law" are two different individuals.One purpose is to make people good,to be positive,and one to punish social crime.Such conflicting two are in harmony with each other in ancient Chinese society.and the rituals continue to infiltrate into the law and become part of the law.In addition to whether or not the law is illegal,whether or not to violate the law is also the basis for judging the case.The core values played a decisive role in the formulation and implementation of the law,which became a major feature of ancient Chinese law,and this point is also more prominent in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.In the late Eastern Han Dynasty,political turmoil,economic recession,frequent foreign wars,peasant uprisings,and natural disasters continued to plague the East Han Dynasty,which eventually led to the collapse of the social order in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.However,this is not yet a sound ritual in the Eastern Han Dynasty.Under such social turmoil,the law and the syllabus of the law have been destroyed.This also led to the social criticism of the late Han Dynasty,and the scholars questioned and discussed the issue of etiquette.The "ritual" and "law" were in harmony with each other in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.Some of the rituals were incorporated into the law and became part of the "law.”At the same time,"ritual" also guided the formulation of the law as a core principle,and the issue of ritual law became more and more vivid in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.This paper mainly analyzes the problem through four parts.Firstly,it analyzes the concepts of "ritual" and "law" and the changes of the two in the pre-Qin Dynasty to the Eastern Han Dynasty and the relationship between them,paving the way for better exploration of the ritual law in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.Secondly,it analyzes the social and economic conditions in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.Through the analysis of relevant historical materials,it is found that the society in the late Eastern Han Dynasty was in a state of disorderly chaos.It was also because of the disorder of society that the issue of ritual and low was more prominent in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.The third part explores the concept of ritual and law of scholars in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.The collapse of the society leads to countless scholars worrying about the country and worrying about the people.It also causes the scholars to question the ritual law and advocate the reform of the country.This chapter analyzes Wang Fu,Cui Shi,Zhong Changtong,Xun Yue and others explored the issue of ritual and law in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.The last part discusses the practice of ritual and law in the late Eastern Han Dynasty,mainly through the specific composition of the law,filial piety,loyalty,and circumstance and enthusiasm.Through the analysis of the ritual law in the late Eastern Han Dynasty,it not only helps to better uncover the development of national laws in the late Eastern Han Dynasty,but also has important enlightenment or warning effect on the construction of today's society.
