Discourse markers are independent components of words or phrases that play a guiding and restrictive role in discourse comprehension, and they won’t affect the true meaning of sentences in discourse.Learning the correct use of discourse markers can not only play a coherent role, but also make communication go smoothly so that express deep feelings.Nowadays, discourse markers have become a hot topic in pragmatics research, and they are more important in language acquisition,in-class and out-of-class teaching and sociolinguistics. However, fewer studies have conducted surveys on discourse markers in television programming languages, especially the the same discourse markers in two programs.Based on this reality, this paper attempts to make a concrete study and analysis of the use of discourse markers in spoken Chinese, taking "Informal Talks"and "Qipa Shuo" as the materials, combining the three important vocabularies of "this","then" and "I think".Specifically, this article is divided into five chapters. The introduction part introduces the basis of this paper, the related research of domestic and foreign discourse markers, the research methods developed by the author and the source of the corpus;the first chapter is equivalent to the background of the text before the main text, mainly introduces the "Informal Talks, and "Qipa Shuo".In addition, the definition of discourse markers and the reasons for determining the three subjects in this paper are also analyzed in detail. The second to fourth parts have made specific research on "this","then" and "I think":Chapter 2 introduces the definition and evolution process of the discourse marker "this",also makes a certain comparison with the similar type"that".Then, according to its different positions in the two programs,it analyzes its discourse organization function and speech behavior functions, including opening the turn function, occupying the turn function, emphasizing the object function and correcting the information function.Besides, according to the bias phenomenon in the corpus, the author divides the "this" bias into three categories:confusion with similar discourse markers, redundancy of discourse markers, and overlap of discourse markers;Chapter 3 introduces the definition and evolution of the discourse marker"then" is compared with the "next".The same reason is also analyzed its functional differences and biases in different positions. The pragmatic functions of "then"include opening the turn, occupying the turn, prompting attention, and asking for the information. In terms of bias,"then" has excessive representation of causality and turning relationship in addition to abuse;after Chapter 4 expounding the definition and evolution of the discourse marker "I think①",comparing with "I think②",it mainly discusses its pragmatic functions in the beginning and middle of the sentence, including the functions of opening the turn, converting the turn, continuing the topic, correcting the information, delaying the discourse and supplementing the explanation. As for the bias,it is broadly divided into two categories:abuse and deficiency. The final part of the article concludes with a comprehensive overview of the innovations, deficiencies, and prospects for the future. In short, the pragmatic features of the discourse markers "this" and "then" in non-native speakers are more abundant than those of native speakers, and "I think" is higher among native speakers.In-depth analysis, that is,the two types of information"this","then" are more common in foreigners, and "I think",this kind of emotional attitude is less than the Chinese.Of course, from TV programs to real life, this paper hopes to provide more theoretical and practical basis for the study of the standard content of foreign students’ curriculum standards and other language discourse markers. |
