The epitaph of Princess Runan, which is now collected in the Shanghai Museum and handed down to Yu Shinan,is a very important inkblot book in the collection. This inkblot work has a very important connection with the study of Yu Shinan and his calligraphic style. However, since the Song Dynasty, there has been a great discrepancy in the dating of this work among collectors of all dynasties.Previous opinions are mostly concentrated between Tang Yu Shinan's authentic works,Mi Fu's copy and Song Dynasty's copy.Among them, the creation time and the owner of the "seal of Hongwen" covered in this work are also the focus of controversy.Wen Peng of the Ming Dynasty believed that the seal was used by Xue Shaopeng of the Song Dynasty, while Yan Jingxian,as a former collector of Runan Princess Epitaph in the late Qing Dynasty, thought Wen Peng had no detailed textual research on historical materials.According to the etiquette system,Xue Shaopeng should avoid the taboo of"Hongwen",so how can "Hongwen Seal" be used by Xue Shaopeng? After liberation, many scholars have made textual research and Analysis on the various "Hongwen Seals" they have seen at present.Although the opinions are not the same, the research process of scholars provides important materials for the study of "the seal of Hongwen" in the epitaph of Runan Princess. In addition to the study of the seal of Hongwen, this paper also explores and collates the relevant materials about Yu Shinan and Runan Princess Epitaph in the historical materials of past dynasties, and finds out the possibility of the existence of various versions of Runan Princess Epitaph in history.Through sorting out and researching, the following versions of the epitaph of Runan Princess have existed in the literature of past dynasties:copy of Wang Bao in Song Dynasty, authentic copy of Guo Zhangzhi in Song Dynasty,Mifu in Song Dynasty,Guo Tianxi in Song Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasty,Li Dongyang in Ming Dynasty(i.e.,epitaph of Runan Princess in Shanghai Museum)and many engraved copies since Song Dynasty. Each version is not entirely independent of the individual, and there is a certain relationship between some versions. For example,Wang Nu's copy of Song Dynasty and Mi Fu's copy of Song Dynasty should be copied from Zhang Zhiqing's authentic copy of Song Dynasty. At present, the epitaph of Runan Princess in Shanghai Museum is actually a collection of Li Dongyang in Ming Dynasty. In the postscript, from Li Dongyang in Ming Dynasty to Yan Jingxian in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, there are words attached to it.Wang Qingzheng, former deputy curator of Shanghai Museum, has a special article to prove that the epitaph of Runan Princess is an authentic copy of Yu Shinan's book in Tang Dynasty. After reading Mr.Wang's masterpiece, the author finds that there are fallacies or failures to prove the four aspects of Mr.Wang's argument that the post is authentic. The significance of textual research of works is to find and restore the truth of history as far as possible,so as to provide more reliable historical data and viewpoints for later researchers.Based on a systematic review of the history of the ink handing down and collection, this paper makes an analysis and comparison of the inscriptions and seals in the Yushi Nanshu Epitaph of Runan Princess, which is handed down to the Shanghai Museum in the Tang Dynasty, and forms a study of the inscriptions and postscripts of Runan Princess,so as to serve as a reference for the future.
