| The Erhu Concerto "Blue Planet-Earth" was commissioned by Taipei Municipal National Orchestra by Taipei composer Ms.Yiyu Wang for the "2011 Taipei National Instrumental Music Competition-Erhu"competition.Its performance skills exceeded the technical difficulties of the competition at that time.Its irregular change of stress,the same rhythm of the beat and the atonality of the fast sixteenth note are great challenges for the performers,thus demonstrating the superb Erhu technique.The work adopts the form of a complex trilogy,using three themes of "universe","fountain of life" and "blue planet",mainly describing that in the vast universe,there is a blue planet-the earth,and the "fountain of life" on the earth's surface breeds nature and all life.Human beings live on the earth and abuse the earth's resources arbitrarily,which leads to the exhaustion of Mother Earth.At the same time,the composer warns us to love the earth through this work,with great intention. |
