In the phrase "Christ present in faith," we can see the focus of the debate between the Finnish school and the traditional Lutheran study. In traditional Martin Luther theology study,it has always been emphasized that the "Forensic Justification" that is,Christians are called righteousness,is because of God's"Forensic Justification" declaration that God transfers the complete obedience of Christ to Christians, forgives human sins and does not pursue human sins. The meaning they acquire is only declared righteous and completely without their true sense of righteousness."Christ present in faith" and God present in man's heart came after such a declaration of righteousness, that is,the result of "Forensic Justificatio".Mannermaa pointed out that it is one-sided to emphasize only "Forensic Justificatio",and Martin Luther's theology also contains the meaning of"effective" justification. In the view of the Finnish school,God not only declares human righteousness, but also makes human beings truly and continuously become righteous in Martin Luther's theology."Christ present in faith."This "present" is also Christ's own presence,in the ontological sense of presence, that is,through faith,Christ does indeed live among believers,so that the living is not Christ himself but "Christ lives in us".Through this person also shares the true life of God.The Finnish school then came up with a more controversial claim that Lutheran theology contained the idea of divinization or theosis."Sanctification" and "godliness" are people's sharing from God.Participation in God is God's dwelling in man's heart. The reason why people can "sanctify" can become "God",also because "Christ present in faith.God is the God of love, and his incarnation is to enable the body to become Word.In the incarnation of the Word, all the attributes of God are given to Jesus Christ,so that Jesus Christ has a complete divinity,by virtue of this complete divinity Christ can overcome sin and death,by virtue of this complete divinity,Jesus can die and rise to heaven, which is also the body became the Word.In Christ's presence,we are faced with the same situation.Christ is not only God's favor, but also God's gift.In the letter, man does have the gift, which in fact transforms the existence of man. That is to say,in faith, the presence of Christ is the real presence,is the ontological sense of the presence, through this real presence, all attributes of Christ also endowed with faith, the realization of the exchange of Christ and human attributes(happy exchange).Through faith,Christ lives in man, through faith, the righteousness of Christ becomes man' s righteousness, the triumph of Christ over sin and death becomes man's triumph over sin and death, and even Christ himself becomes ours. This view of the Finnish school has its significance in religious dialogue and the development of the universal church.Through the reinterpretation of Martin Luther in Finland,it narrows the differences between the traditional faith and Catholicism, and provides a good point of communication for the dialogue.
