Step Into The Art History Of Science

At the end of the 19 th century,a group of art historians in Vienna,Europe,entered the stage of history.With their efforts,"Art" and "History" were integrated across traditional boundaries.The subject of History of Art has been constructed,which has made great contribution to the literature research and editing of visual art.Most of these outstanding scholars came from the German-speaking world,studied in Austria,and were influenced by the Austrian social environment,and in 1910 the Czech art critic Vincenc Kram á se first summarized them with the concept of the "Vienna School".Articles published in 1920 by Otto Benesch(Otto Benesch)and Julius von Schlosser(Julius von Schlosser)cited this statement.So far,the concept of "Vienna School" has been generally accepted by the art community.The Viennese school showed the methodology of western art history.Their scholars had the same foundation but looked at the world from a different perspective.They regard the history of art as a part of the history of culture and apply scientific visual analysis to the history of art.Although they differ in their research directions and methods,they do share common ground in their overall beliefs.In this paper,I will analyze the methodology of Vienna School of Art History as a whole from the perspective of the restoration of historical context,the attitude to contemporary art and the application of other disciplines to the methodology of Vienna School of Art History as a whole.
