After 60 years of development,China's public off-campus educationa linstitutions have mainly formed four types.One is the Children's Palace,which is called theYouth Activity Center in Some places,the other is the off-campus educational activity venues,including various main educational bases,the third is the off-campus educational training institutions,and the fourth is the off-campus educational Service institutions.Since its establishment in the 1950 S,public off-campus educational institutions have been an important part of basic education and an important carrier to enhance students' ability of moral implementation and Social adaptation.At the Same time,with the development of Social education and the popularization of the concept of quality education,out-of-School education has become a basic component of quality education.The author takes the Youth Activity Center in S District of Shanghai as the research object and uses interview method to Select five participants as the discussion objects: retired teachers,Senior teachers,School managers,parents who participated in the curriculum activities of the Youth Activity Center in S District and Some Students who are currently in School.Through the collation and analysis of the contents of the recycled interviews,this paper deeply analyzed the historical evolution and development Status of the Youth Activity Center in Area S.It is found that there are the following main problems: 1.The aging of the facilities in the activity center makes it difficult to attract Students;2.The activity content is uniform and difficult to keep up with the pace of Society;3.The activity content is rich and it is difficult to improve the effect of education;4.The renewal Speed of the activity curriculum is Slow and it is difficult to keep up with the Social trend.After analyzing the causes of these problems,the author puts forward a Series of suggestions to improve the conscientious development of the activity center in Area S from the aspects of the value role of the activity center and the educational function of the activity center.In order to develop in a healthy and long-term way,the activity centersin Area S must play an effective role in linking up with School education;play a role in closely linking up with community education;play the role of keeping pace with the times in educational content;play the role of innovating educational forms;play the role of expanding the Scope of education by utilizing Social education a resources;and play the role of public welfare advantages.Following the trend of Social development,new projects are constantly launched,which have a certain guiding and guiding role in various fields,adhere to the correct direction of running Schools,adhere to public welfare,pay attention to improving Soft power,and meet the needs of persnalization.
