Since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and the Republic of Korea in 1992.bilateral exchanges of these two nations in various aspects have become increasingly frequent.Translation, therefore,is widely acknowledged as a bridge for shaping mutual understanding, with literature translation standing as a significant component of cultural exchanges.Against this backdrop, this paper centers on the South Korean female writer's novel Knowing It Is So,But Still So,discussing its main plot, translation text and translation strategies. In translation, the translator adopted literal translation, free translation and other translation techniques according to the translation purpose. The meaning of Korean inherent words,Chinese words and culture-loaded words in the novel are further explored in vocabulary terms, and common strategies in sentential level are included as well. This report is divided into three chapters. The first chapter includes an overview of the translated works and an abstract of related translation theories. The second chapter is the key chapter of this report.Combining the examples in the novel, the translator makes a detailed analysis on how to translate specific parts of the novel, such as the title, vocabularies and sentences. Also,in the same chapter, the translator illustrates the difficulties she encountered, thoughts and reflections she produced, and experiences that can be learned by others. As a summary, the third chapter concludes the intuitive feelings of the translator in this practice, which could work as a reference for the future.
