Translation Report Of The Chinese Film "The Richest Man In Xihong City"

With the increasing cultural exchanges between South Korea and China,viewing of translated films has increased.They bring down linguistic and cultural barriers and make the audience in the target language country fully understand and appreciate them as the original audience.When translating the film dialogues into another language,it is limited in terms of the number of words.In addition,the features of dialogue in films are synchronizations,simplifications,colloquialism,legibility,and non-footnote.South Korea and China have different languages,habits,cultures,and humour.Therefore,a translator should be distinguished in the ability of expression and understanding,and deeply understand the society and culture of the two countries.In this translated report,I translated the Chinese film "hello billionaire" script into Korean.I analysed the ways of translating in film and the difficult points 1 encountered 1 suggested solutions that maintained the original meaning.I hope people who are translating in the film industry will be able to resolve some problems by using this translated film.The report can be a catalyst for more frequent exchange of movies.This report is divided into three chapters.Introduction of the reason 1 chose hello billionaire's story in the first chapter.The second chapter is divided into the feature film and translation theory.I introduced the definition of film translation and the feature of translation in films,such as synchronizations,simplifications,colloquialism,legibility,and non-footnote.Here are some examples based on this.In the last chapter,I presented the difficulties faced in the translation process and provided concrete solutions to help future development of film and television translation studies.
