Subconscious theory, put forward by Austrian psychologist Freud at the beginning of last century,is one of the important theories of psychology.Carl Jung deepened the subconscious and divided the subconscious into individual subconscious and collective subconscious.Subconscious thinking has the characteristics of infinity and abstraction, which provides more possibilities for human beings to carry out artistic creation.Often the artist's personal world outlook and artistic techniques of the work are in fact the display of the self-subconscious.The potential consciousness of human beings has a great influence on art and literature, especially in the way of thinking and personal style of sculpture creation.By studying the subconscious theory and analyzing the creators'personal outlook on life,we can find that the theory of human potential consciousness plays an important role in the way of thinking and the creation of works.Through the analysis of ancient Wuwei wood carving,Tongshan wood carving, and some contemporary sculptors, this paper expounds the subconscious and personal subconscious in sculpture creation. The unconsciousness of creation has a potential influence on sculpture creation and personal style, and interprets the function and relationship of subconscious mind on sculpture creation.
