Explore The Dreamland In The Context Of Surrealiat Sculpture

Surrealism is a kind of modern western literary genre,is committed to explore human unconscious,advocated through logical and practical view of reality,completely give up on the basis of the logical and orderly experience memory of real image,the real ideas and the integration of instinct,subconscious,and the dream experience show images in human deep psychological world.Influenced by surrealism,some contemporary sculptors use the technique of deformation and exaggeration to absorb nutrients from surrealism sculptures to create.Their works are imaginative,varied and irrational.Some of them are concrete,some are abstract,and some are symbolic.However,there is no contemporary sculptor who claims that his works are surrealist,and there is no specific standard form and characteristics of contemporary surrealist sculptures,but it is undeniable that their works contain non-scientific and irrational factors.This paper takes surrealism as the source and Freud’s subconscious theory as the basis to explore the contemporary expression of surrealism sculpture.This paper is divided into four chapters:Chapter one: Introduces the origin and development of surrealist sculpture and Freud’s theoretical research on surrealism.Chapter two: Introduces the sculptors of surrealism period and their works analysis,and further summarizes the characteristics and propositions of surrealism sculpture.Chapter three: This chapter analyzes the expression forms and modeling characteristics of surrealist sculpture in contemporary times,and analyzes the artistic styles of some domestic and foreign sculpture works with surrealist factors and the personal thoughts contained in the works.This chapter is the key chapter of this paper.Chapter four: This chapter is about some works I created and explained under the influence of contemporary surrealist sculpture.
