| This is a task report for escort interpretation from September 26 th to 29 th,2018.which is mainly related to assisting the global developing director of IAB,Alexandra Salomon,to attend the 2018 CIAF as entrusted by China Advertising Association.The whole programs included airport picking up and sending,hotel arrangement,buffets escort and transportation vehicle coordination,as well as consecutive interpretation in summit or opening-up speech,even the other social connecting occasions.The thesis is firstly about analyzing and summarizing the preparation work,and then the features of the escort interpretation have been analyzed and summarized.So based on the features of the escort interpretation,combining the interpretation practices,the key difficulties confronted in the programs has been pointed out which refer to the redundance of the parallel information in sentence,too many using of technical terms and proper nouns in advertising industry and the unpredictable flexibility of environment,furthermore,the using of cultural vocabularies with Chinese features,the large amount of number translation.The strategic solutions are accordingly given out based on the interpretation strategies and methods being used by author.The solutions are respectively omitting the parts of parallel information,combining the meaning of the vocabulary,and speculating the context,using free translation and substitution for the cultural vocabulary,as well as approximately accounting for the number.Finally there is a summary relating to two parts.On the one hand,it is requirement for interpreters viewing from accumulating interpretation experience and giving full play to interpreters,on the other hand it is self-examination.In the end it is sincerely anticipated to provide references to the others who engage in the relative interpretation subject. |
