As a master and pioneer of Tongcheng literary school in Qing dynasty,Yao Nai engaged in Chinese education for almost 40 years.It is necessary to lay particular emphasis on the research of Yao's identity as a teacher.From the perspective of the times,Yao Nai who was active in the early and middle Qing Dynasty,was at the peak of the development of ancient Chinese teaching in academies.He inherited the most mature and perfect thought of ancient feudal education in China,and was an excellent object to study the form and content of ancient Chinese education.Meanwhile,as the representative of the authoritative literary school with profound influence in the last feudal dynasty,the study of Yao Nai's educational thoughts will help comb the historical context of the transformation from ancient Chinese educational thoughts to modern ones,in order to obtain the enlightenment and reference value for the current educational practice.Firstly,this paper studies the Chinese education of Yao Nai's family and the teaching practice of Chinese in academy,summarizes the objective rules and content characteristics of each form,expounds the enlightenment of two main forms of Chinese education in Qing Dynasty on Chinese education in contemporary families and schools.Secondly,this paper studies the compilation practice of the Chinese textbook of "Guwencileizuan",and finds out its influence on the compilation of textbooks in the early period of the republic of China;Through the textual research of Liu Daqui's articles,raises doubts about the expression of "the survivors are not included" in the old textbook of literary selection in the history of modern education.By comparing “Guwencileizuan” with “Guwenyuexuan” and “Jingshibaijiazachao”,we can conclude that “Guwencileizuan” inherits the former and inspires the latter,and pays attention to the characteristics of literary purity and teaching.Finally,from the study of literary theory and teaching of reading and writing,taking static statement and dynamic use of literary theory in teaching of reading and writing as the object of observation,this paper discusses the theory and method of his reading teaching and writing teaching,and link to the thought and practice of Ye Shengtao and Xia Mianzun.By re-discussing the theory of "absurdity" and comparing the arguments presented in the May 4th movement with Yao Nai,this paper concludes the inheritance relationship between modern Chinese education thought and ancient ones.This paper studies and evaluates Yao Nai's Chinese teaching from the perspective of Chinese education history,in order to bring new enlightenment to contemporary Chinese education.
