In recent years,as the "Chinese fever" in Thailand continues to heat up,many Thais are paying more and more attention to the study of Chinese,which makes the demand for Chinese courses is increasing for universities and students.The purpose of this thesis is,taking the situation of Chinese language teaching in Ubon Ratcahthani University as an example,to investigate and analyze the teaching situation of Chinese language teaching in Ubon Ratcahthani University.It is mainly divided into three aspects:First,the situation of Chinese language students,including the students" reasons and purpose of learning Chinese,their views on learning Chinese,their evaluation and expectations of Chinese teachers;the second is the basic situation of Chinese teachers in Ubon Ratchathani and Ubon Ratchathani University and the teacher's evaluation of students' learning Chinese;the third is the selection and use of Chinese textbooks.First,this paper analyzes the selection and use of Chinese language teaching materials through interviews and site visits and other methods.At present,the Chinese textbook selected by the Chinese major of Ubon Ratchathani University is the textbook of "Developing Chinese" by Beijing Language and Culture University and self-edited materials made by Chinese teachers.Both the "Developing Chinese" and self-edited textbooks expose certain shortcomings in practical teaching,such as the applicability of Thai students to learn Chinese is insufficient,and there is a lack of practical vocabulary and dialogue related to the daily communication environment in Thailand.The content of teaching materials cannot be updated in a timely manner.The content of teachers' self-edited textbooks is more random and subjective,and the quality of teaching materials is not as good comparatively.Secondly,through questionnaires,interviews and considering the students' age,Chinese learning duration and difficulties are analyzed.It is found that the main problem in Chinese language teaching in Ubon Ratchathani is that students' Chinese level is uneven,and writing and speaking are the main difficulties.Students are interested in Chinese,and the number of people who choose to learn Chinese is really high,but there are few opportunities to communicate in Chinese.Finally,a survey of the Chinese language teachers at Ubon Ratchathani found that the teacher resources and the number of students did not adapt.There are only two Chinese-speaking Chinese volunteer teachers in the Chinese major,and the opportunities for communication between Chinese and teachers are limited.At present,the number of students who are interested in Chinese and choose to study Chinese is increasing,including not only Chinese majors,but also other Chinese elective courses.However,since the number of Chinese teachers is small,the students are not in a sufficient Chinese learning environment.Based on the above investigations on students,teachers and textbooks,this paper proposes relevant countermeasures for Chinese language teaching at Ubon Ratchathani University.If students need to maintain a proactive attitude and improve their resilience,schools should stabilize the teaching staff and improve the amount of teachers.The preparation of textbooks should consider to add more practical vocabulary and grammar and pay attention to the update of the content.Self-edited textbooks should also enrich the content of the textbooks through multiple channels and pay attention to the...
