With the advent of the new century,the country’s political context,socialeconomy,and international environment are constantly changing and developing.The domestic film production continues to improve,and the film market presentsa diversified development trend.Taking into account all of these factors,wehave reached the realization that mainstream movies are of great significanceto the construction of national image,the display of national spirit and thetransmission of values.The mainstream blockbuster on the basis of it has beengiven many new semantics in the new century,and creative production andtheoretical exploration have gradually entered the audience’s vision.Themainstream Chinese blockbuster conveys the Chinese spirit in a film-like mannerand becomes a type of film that keeps pace with the times and conforms to therequirements of the times.The mainstream blockbuster not only uses the newcentury as the background of the times,but also is the builder of the new eracontext.This not only conforms to the operating mechanism of commercial filmsin the context of industrialization,but also fits the imagination of the currentmainstream ideology about the national ideology.With the rapid development ofthe Chinese film industry,China’s mainstream large-scale market continues toexpand.The massive investment in capital and the frequent cooperation oftalents from all regions in the international perspective have pushed China’smainstream blockbusters into a stage of prosperous creation.Before discussing the mainstream narrative evolution in the new century,the article first expounds the research background and significance of the thesisin the introduction.Based on the views of well-known researchers at home andabroad,the paper defines the concept of
