Uyghur Dastan is a narrative long poem with singing.Its length is longer,and it often has complete stories and penetrating characters.It is a form of folk art with a long history.Uyghur folk Dastan refers to narrative literary works in which folk poetry language and prose language are combined.The Dastan "Hφrliqa and H(a|¨)mrad(?)an" studied in this article is a romantic love Dastan.Dastan’s main description is that the protagonist H(a|¨)mrad(?)an traveled far in order to find a parrot where his father had dreamed of,He bravely overcame all hardships along the way.He met the fairy Hφrliqa on the way and fell in love with her at first sight.The two began to love each other and some of the following love stories.Dastan’s"H(?)rliqa and H(a|¨)mrad(?)an" is not only found among the Uyghur people,but also among several Turkic ethnic groups in Central Asia.This paper is based on the version of "H(?)rliqa and H(a|¨)mrad(?)an",which was recorded by Professor Abdukrem Rehman in the "Uyghur folk Dastan" in 1981.Through the methods of description,analysis and other widely used methods of international folk literature research at home and abroad,I have conducted some research and analysis on Dastan’s storyline,motif,poetic characteristics and rhetorical features.This thesis consists of four parts:introduction,text,epilogue and appendix etc.The introduction mainly introduces the research significance,research purposes and research methods of Dastan.There are four chapters in the text.The first chapter introduces the basic contents of“H(?)rliqa and H(a|¨)mrad(?)an" the central thought of Dastan,the research value,and the analysis of place names that appeared in Dastan;The second chapter is the analysis part of the motif in Dastan,which is based on the motif analysis proposed by the famous folklorists of the American folklorists Smith Thompson(Stith Thompson 1885-1970)in"the index of Folk Literature Motif’.The third chapter is the characteristics and analysis of the poetry.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the rhetorical features and the beauty of dat’s language.In conclusion,the author makes a brief summary according to the contents of each chapter,and points out the innovation and shortcomings of the paper.The appendix is the Chinese translation of Dastan,and ranslation of the international phonetic alphabet "H(?)rliqa and H(a|¨)mrad(?)an".
