Research On The Neolithic Remains Of The Guojia Zaoyuan Site In Jishan

The Jinnan area,which is one of the core areas of Yangshao culture and Miaodigou second period culture,is located in the south of Shanxi Province and near the junction of Shaanxi Province,Shanxi Province and Henan Province.Since 1926,when Mr.Liji excavated the site of Xiyincun in Xia county,by nearly 100 years of archaeological investigations and excavations,a lot of remains of Yangshao culture and Miaodigou second period culture has been found in Jinnan area.Since the 1950s,excavated the site of Miaodigou in Shan county,Such as the transition about the late Yangshao culture to Miaodigou second period culture,the nature and ascription of Miaodigou second period culture has always been a hot issue of the academic debate.Guojiazaoyuan site in Jishan county,one of the largest sites from the late Yangshao culture to Miaodigou second period culture,has been excavated on a large scale in recent years,where a lot of materials of the late Yangshao culture and Miaodigou second period culture were found.It provides us the possibility to obtain a new cognition about the characteristics of the late Yangshao culture to Miaodigou second period culture in this region.In this article,firstly on the basis of this materials which excavated in Guajiazaoyuan site,I discuss the shape,layout and production process of houses,pottery kilns and the outdoor stoves in Guojiazaoyuan site,a Neolithic site,and arrive at the view of its’ position in cultural development.By discussing,it is found that the neolithic houses were all small and semi-crypt type in Guojiazaoyuan site,and they had a uniform layout.The pottery kilns were dug out of the wall,used tools like Lei.The situation that outdoor stoves and the indoor stoves coexists simultaneously solved the problem of ejecting smog when people cooked.Secondly according to Guojiazaoyuan site’s potteries,the typology research of the late Yangshao culture and Miaodigou second period culture was conducted.Through the observation of the pottery making remains,I research the level and features of pottery-making crafts in the late Yangshao culture and Miaodigou second period culture.Thirdly,I will create a criterion through summarizing the research achievements of predecessors about the late Yangshao culture to Miaodigou second period culture and establishing development sequence about this period in Jinnan area,to determine the remains of the late Yangshao culture in Guojiazaoyuan site should be Xiwangcun third periods culture which belongs to the third period of the late Yangshao culture,and the remains of Miaodigou second period culture in the Guojiazaoyuan site belongs to the early Miaodigou second period culture.Finally on the basis of cultural factors analysis,the Guojiazaoyuan site unearthed pottery contains some features of Dawenkou culture and Qujialing culture,which provides new materials to study the migration to west of Dawenkou culture and the migration to north of Qujialing culture.
