Research On "Management Of Sino-British Boxer Board Of Hexi Middle School"

In the period of the Republic of China,the Board of Directors of the Chinese and British Geng Fund set up the management of Suzhou Middle School in Jiuquan,Gansu Province.The school was founded in 1938.It was the only complete middle school in Jiuquan during the Republic of China.In order to unify the name of "Huang Chuan Middle School"(Qinghai Li,Qianjiang Middle School)(Guizhou)founded by the Board of Directors of the Chinese and British Geng funds,and to take the meaning of the river,it was changed from September 2,1939 to "administering the Hexi Middle School of the Board of Directors of the Chinese and British Geng funds".The funds for the establishment of the school were taken from the Boxer indemnity refunded in the United Kingdom.In order to make rational use of the funds,a special board of directors for the management of the Chinese and British G funds was set up to inspect various projects.After an inspection of education in the northwest,Decided to fund education in Gansu,Ningqing and Qinghai,the establishment of the school is registered as the "management of the Chinese and British G board of directors." Wu Liangfu,who graduated from Cambridge University,was the first president of the school.After the establishment of the school,it carried out the new educational aim of the country and adopted the new school system to set up the school education institution.Soon,the school was ahead of the local school in terms of hardware facilities,curriculum design,sports and cultural activities,etc.And the development of the whole Gansu secondary education has played an exemplary role.The talents trained in the new mode of modernization not only become the main force of local construction,but also gradually emerge in the backbone of the construction of New China.
