Vietnam has closely contacted with China in history.China and Vietnam history produced Chu Nom.It is produced to record the Vietnamese based on Chinese characters according to the formation of Chinese characters(mainly phonetic method).Chu Nom is read in Sino-Vietnamese,so it has high value for both Vietnamese and the history of Chinese phonology history research.Characters are used to record voice,which is inherited and conservative,descendants of works will be preserved before the generation of chu.In addition,some Chu Nom is used to read the ancient Chinese,these words are often preserved ancient accent.This paper is based on the study of Chu Nom,taking into account changes in the Vietnamese.This paper makes phonetic description of Chu Chu using historical comparison.There are five chapters in this paper.The first chapter introduces the objectives and research method and the historical situation of Vietnam.The second chapter is the introduction of the characte-ristics and classification of Chu Nom.In addition,explanation is made of the materials.In the fourth chapter,a description of Chu Nom according to computer database and a comparition is made between Chu Nom and Early Middle Chinese consonants,and the author discussed the differences in order to sum up the corresponding rules of them.The fifth chapter is a summary of the papers.
