Sino-Vietnamese is a vital part of Vietnamese vocabulary, so as a result, it’s natural for vietnamese students to make use of Sino-Vietnamese when studing Mandarin Chinese. Most of academic papers and research reports choose to discuss the obvious role of Sino-Vietnamese’s meaning, but not the Sino-Vietnamese pronunciation. Sino-Vietnamese pronunciation mainly comes from the ancient times, to a certain extent reverse the accent of Tang dynasty Chang’an’s dialect, as long as you master the regulation of the tight relation between Sino-Vietnamese pronunciation and Mandarin Chinese pronunciation, it’s easy to guess the pronunciation of Mandarin from Sino-Vietnamese pronunciation. Though it can’t be absulutely accurate, it still helps Vietnamese student a lot when studing Mandarin Chinese. This article discusses how to convert Sino-Vietnamese pronunciation to Mandarin Chinese pronunciation by using statistical method. As giving out a specific accuracy, i hope this research can have its own practical function, helping Vietnamese students study Mandarin Chinese more effectively. |
