| Phonics is a kind of teaching mode of spelling by teaching students the relationship between letters and Alphabet pronunciations.It is an efficient method to learn pronunciation rules and spelling skills for English learners,which conforms to the curve law of learning development.The research shows that the application of phonics in primary school has the great research value,which is instructive to cultivate students’ phonological awareness,sound sense and spelling ability.However,when it is used in the phonetic teaching of grade three,it still has some problems.This research combines the methods of questionnaire,interview with teaching experiment.Before the experiment,the problems in the practice of phonics teaching are analyzed by using the methods of questionnaire and interview.The subjects of the study are from grade three of Changzhou J Primary School.The teaching experiment integrates the teaching of textbooks with phonics textbooks.Tests and questionnaires are used to verify whether phonics is useful in promoting phonetic teaching of grade three,in improving students’ phonological awareness,spelling ability and learning interests.The data of the control group and the experimental group in the teaching experiment is carefully analyzed.Combined with the post-questionnaire data from the experimental group,the following research results are obtained:Integrating the textbook teaching with phonics can not only improve the students’ phonological awareness and spelling ability,but also can improve the students’ interest in English learning.Multiple methods can be applied to integrate the phonetic teaching with phonics:integrate the teaching of letters with phonics to teach both the letter names and the letter sounds,integrate phonetic teaching with phonics textbooks to raise students’ learning interest,integrate the discourse teaching with phonics to use spelling rules in the context,take the learning situation of grade three into consideration to develop school-based teaching materials and so on.The research is expected to seek a better teaching mode by using phonics method in grade three of primary school.We hope that more students can learn phonetics knowledge,and more teachers will understand the ideas of phonics to improve their teaching efficiency. |
