As a new and proved effective teaching methods in practice,currently,Picture and Text Decoding is lack of effective teaching strategy.Most of the teachers adopting this teaching method have not formed a systematic and scientific teaching strategies.By referring to relative literature at home and abroad,and by combining the research achievements of domestic and foreign scholars,this study analyzes the similarities and differences between picture teaching method and picture and text decoding method and to find the advantage of the latter.On the base of the experimental teaching results of Experimental Class and ordinary class,and the interviewing results of parents and teachers,we have confirmed the advantages and scientificity of picture and text decoding teaching method.Besides,the author finds and solves problems in practice,constantly improves teaching methods.Thus she summed up effective teaching strategies to improve the enthusiasm and grades of students.The author mainly summed up the strategies before class,class operation strategies and strategies of development after class.This research mainly adopts the methods of action research,questionnaire and interviewing,choosing the students from grade three to grade four of Tanghu primary school as experimental subjects.After one year's experiment,the author evaluates their level of spoken English and divergent thinking to prove the advantages of Picture and Text decoding method.Besides,the author collects teaching scheme from both herself and the teachers involved in this research to form systematic teaching strategies.The paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter focuses on the analysis of current primary English teaching situation and curriculum reform demands.In this chapter,the author puts forward the necessities of reforming teaching methods and demonstrates the significance of picture and text decoding teaching method.The second chapter states the theoretical basis of picture and text decoding and teaching strategies,and defines relevant concepts of teaching strategies.In this chapter,the author ravels out the contacts and difference of picture and text decoding and picture teaching method.The third chapter puts these theories into teaching practice.The strategies of picture and text decoding were carried out.The fourth chapter analyzes better strategies of picture and text decoding method through teaching practice and experimental results.The last chapter summarizes the deficiencies and expectations.
