| In view of the global trend,the number of Chinese learners has been increasing day by day.In particular,all kinds of Chinese teaching with the main goal of adult learners are the fastest growing.At present,the promotion of Chinese internationalization is in process.As the demand for Chinese language learning by foreigners increases sharply,the existing concepts of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the curriculum system,and related aspects of teaching materials are all facing new challenges.Textbooks are the core part of curriculum resources.They are also the basis for teachers to carry out teaching activities and student learning,and are the medium and carrier of teaching activities.In adult Chinese learning,the learners already have the ability to learn independently.Therefore the importance of textbooks is self-evident.Foreign adults Chinese teaching materials have become one of the bottlenecks in the promotion of internationalization of Chinese language,this needs to draw our attention.Experiential learning theory is a learning process concept that is essentially different from that of behaviorism.It proposes some novel suggestions.In experiential learning theory,learning is a process of integrating and unifying experience,perception,cognition and behavior.In my opinion,experiential learning theory is especially fit for the characteristics of adult Chinese learning.Therefore,it is proposed to make some suggestions to the existing foreign adults Chinese teaching materials by studying the teaching materials from the perspective of experiential learning theory and to promote the development of foreign adults Chinese teaching materials,thus promoting the development of foreign adults Chinese teaching materials.This study presents the characteristics of foreign adults Chinese teaching materials based on the experiential learning theory firstly,that is,learners as the center,it focuses on the learner’s individual sensitivity to the teaching materials,as well as the degree of difficulty,preference,practicality,and efficacy.In the paper,representative foreign adults Chinese textbooks<My Chinese classroom(middle-level)> and <Chinese Language Tutorial(Volume 2)> were chosen to research through a questionnaire survey,interviews,text analysis and other research methods.It analyzed in detail the performance of these two textbooks in terms of difficulty,preference,efficacy,and practicality.In the difficulty,learners consider the exercises are more difficult than the Chinese teaching materials.In the preference,learners prefer to Chinese teaching materials than exercises.The problem of outdated learning content,false language materials and cultural facts reduces the practicability of the teaching material.On the text of the efficacy on the efficacy is higher than that of practicing.Based on the above research,aiming at the gap between the current adult Chinese teaching material and the experiential adult Chinese teaching material,this paper puts forward some corresponding suggestions for improving the writing of adult Chinese teaching material from the perspective of experiential learning theory.One is to set up the text reasonably and control the difficulty of the teaching materials;the second is to change the exercises appropriately to improve the degree of preference;the third is to introduce real corpus and enhance practicality;the fourth is to provide learning feedback and strengthen the sense of efficacy. |
