Research On Zhuang Yizhuan's Translation Teaching

Based on the previous study,this paper analyzes Zhuang Yichuan's translation teaching which makes a multi-perspective study about his translation teaching from the following perspectives of the textbook compilation,the translation method,literature translation,the abridged translation and research of translation theory.As for the textbook compilation,the thesis first of all summarizes the backgrounds and reasons why he needs to change the traditional English teaching materials and then further concludes the features and influences of Zhuang's new book.In light of the translation approaches to avoid Chinglish and further enhance one's translation level,this paper analyzes it from the following three aspects which are the practice-oriented translation,linguistic comparison and the essential skills as the guarantee of translation.As regards to the literature translation,it analyzes his representative works the 500 Cases of Chinese and English Translation and the 900 Cases of Chinese and English Translation to extract the laws and rules of English-Chinese and Chinese-English translation by the ways of the linguistic comparison to meet the practical needs of translators to improve themselves.As to the translation of translation theory,the paper based on the George Stenier's After Babel to analyze the reasons to choose it,and the reasons of the abridged translation,and further make a summary of the content selection and the feathers of his abridged translation.Zhuang Yichuan's new book Fanyimantan has embodied the classic cases to study,research and teach translation in his different periods,which is the epitome of his translation career.With it as a clue,this thesis will make a comprehensive investigation of Zhuang's brilliant achievements in translation theory and practice and further provide some rules and laws for later translators to follow and lay a solid foundation to the improvements of their translation work.
