| In recent years,with the development of professional sports in China,more and more professional sports clubs import foreign players.Therefore,these professional sports clubs need the translators for communicating with foreign players.Because the time of rise of sports translation is short and there is a great deal of particularity about sports translation.Researches in this field are not too deep around the world.This article combines the actual situation of translation activities of a team in the Chinese Man’s Professional Basketball League with the guidance of the translation Skopos Theory and then make some deep researches about sports translation especially basketball.It will discover the problems during the translation in professional basketball club and give some relevant guidance.The suggestion form article provides some reference for those who will be engaged in this work in the future.The preface part of the thesis summarizes the basis for the topic selection and the significance of the research.The literature review includes the basic concepts of the basketball team translation and translation Skopos Theory and the research status in China and foreign countries.Then it elaborates the research content and lists the research methods.After that,it summarizes the problems encountered by the team translator.Finally it reaches corresponding solutions.The author combines his own personal experience in the two seasons of Guizhou Senhang Basketball Club in China,the author divided the translation work of the team into game translation,life translation,foreign communication translation and literature information translation through successive experience with nine foreign basketball players.Then the author makes a brief description of each part of the specific work issues and their characteristics.There are also many problems encountered in the process of interpreting with the basketball team.For example,the difficulty of conversion of basketball terminology during translation,the difficulty to identify accent of athletes,the increases of psychological pressure on the stadium sharply,the interference factors in the stadium,the degree of attention of the club to translators is not high enough,and the lack of training frequency of the Chinese Basketball Association for translators,the imperfection of Chinese training mechanism of basketball translator and so on.Combining with the three principles of translation Skopos Theory,named the principle of supremacy of purpose,the principle of coherence,and the principle of fidelity,this paper proposes corresponding solutions from the three parts: translators themselves,basketball clubs and the Chinese Basketball Association.A good solution can help the team translator work more smoothly in the basketball club,strengthen the communication between foreign players and coaches.It also can cultivate the level of understanding of the team,and promote foreign players to perform better in the field.Thus it will improve the team’s record.In order to achieve the good effect of recruiting foreign players.The author’s research also provided some guidance for the professional basketball club’s translators and promote the good development of this field. |
