| Art accordingly depends on the nature of objectivity on the form that accomplished by the artist,also on the function required by visual surface,based on structural relationship between the elements,if that visual surface is a drawing,a sculpture or a pottery;and since art is a mankind language,so it is possible to understand the live of nations and people as well the stages of their development in various aspects and fields.As the art of sculpture is a branches of plastic art,it depends entirely on the form according to its physical composition,which depends on blocks,whether realistic or not,or any unrealistic direction,or towards any other artistic direction,and the changes achieved by civilizational,scientific and technical realities that in general influenced plastic art in Iraq as art and heritage are basic elements for civilizational structure of al nations and peoples,where nations proud and plume of their originality and genuineness,and no doubt they have the right to feel so.Sculpture are is considered one of the plastic arts that ancient people knew it and since old eras man had practiced it,and Mesopotamia,where art sculpture grew in,and can be counted as the source of this art,especially The Art of Sculpture(Prominent &Incarnate).The Sumerian,Acadian,Babylonian and Assyrian sculptures are eyewitnesses to this history,where this art was used by the ancient Iraqi sculptor to express his metaphysical ideas and religious beliefs.This art was also used to commemorate the activities of kings,religious and mundane rulers. |
