Research On The Image Of The New Party In The Novels Of The Late Qing Dynasty

The Qing government adopted a series of reform measures in the face of internal and external problems.Domestic scholars were also constantly exploring the path to save the country.After the slogan of Liang Qichao's novel revolution was proposed,lots of Intellectuals began to write novels.They were so important that many people thought they could save the country.Because of this,Xindang appeared in this works as a group.The study on a series of prostitute images,not only help us understand their lives and spirit,but also reflects the cultural.This paper mainly discusses from three aspects.First,a lot of historical events occurred.They had a great influence on these characters.Second,I will divide the characters in the novel into three categories,by chronological order,by political position and by the occupations.In the first period,they are brewing period,the boom and the recession period,respectively.In the second category,there are two parties,the Reformists and the Revolutionaries.Beside of that,I found some female groups in these works.They have some characters in common.Then,there are also someone disguised the members of the New Party.They had different characters because of many complicated reasons.When we classified them into different classifications,we will find some deep values.Last,I will analyze the differences in the image of the New Party in the novel from the perspective of the novelist's political identity,family background,and publications contained in the novel.Through existing materials,the New Party's image in novels is classified.I will analyze the reasons behind it.Combining with the historical background of Qing Dynasty,through the development and changes of the characters in the novels,we can glimpse the influence and significance of this special group of them in society.
