Analysis Of The Performance Of Op.51 In Nikolai Metnell's "6 Fairy Tales"

Nikolas Karlovich Medtner was a German-Russian composer,pianist,educator,and concert performer.He was born in Moscow and was one of the most influential composer in Russian history.He created a large number of musical works throughout his life.For all his 38 skazki works,《6 Skazki(6 fairy tales)》 for piano,op.51 is one of the most significant.This paper will take this work as a study object as to let people reknow this great composer,reconsider his significance and make objective judgements.This dissertation has four parts.The first part will introduce the life of Nikolai Karlovich Medtner and the Skazki.The second part will analyze the music of《6 Skazki》.The third part will be the analysis of the characters of this work.The last part will be interpreting of performing skills for 《6 Skazki》.
