A Study On The Thought Of "harmony" In Music Theory Before Qin Dynasty

The “yue” in the Pre-Qin period is not a music in the category artistic sense of the present,but a typical representative of the comprehensive art of the ancient times,which can be studied as “art general”.The “Pre-Qin music theory” is not only the music aesthetic thought of the ancient times in the category artistic sense,but the simple general artistic aesthetics thought of the ancient period.The so-called “Pre-Qin music theory” is the general term for the thinking and writing of thinkers from generation to generation in the Pre-Qin period.The Pre-Qin thinkers discussed the “yue”in the Pre-Qin period around the idea of “he”,so that the idea of “he” became the core category of “Pre-Qin music theory”.Based on the two dimensions of “history” and “theory”,this paper investigates the development course and main content of the idea of “he” in Pre-Qin music theory.From a few words of the Western Zhou Dynasty before,to the theorization of the Spring and Autumn Period,to the school of the the Warring States period,“he” aesthetic thought experienced a development process from germination to gradual perfection.Respectively from the “yue” the natural disposition,social regulation,self-discipline of art,the author specifically analyses the main content of “he”aesthetic thought which contains the “he”of natural,social,and forms of art.On this basis,the author further refined the category system of the thought of“he”from Pre-Qin music theory.A series of aesthetic categories constitute a complex and profound “he” in Pre-Qin music theory,which gradually became to the core category of Pre-Qin artistic aesthetic thought,and even the core category of traditional Chinese art esthetics thought.
