The “Ku” is an important category in the category of calligraphy.“ku” is a concept rich in connotation.It was extracted from natural phenomena and was first applied to the interpretation of literary theory.The propositions and interpretations of propositions such as “Pian ku,” “Nong ku”,and “Ku dan” have enriched and extended the extension of “Ku”.The proposal of Su Shi’s “Ku dan” has further enriched the aesthetic connotation of “Ku”.Afterwards,“Ku” was introduced into the field of art.On the one hand,it contained creative writing contents such as “Ku bi” and “Ku zao” on the creative methods.On the other hand,from the natural phenomenon in the specific aesthetic judgments,it can be divided into “Ku jing” “Ku dan” and “Ku run”.The research methods of this article is to use literature review and concept,as far as possible from combing ancient ShuLun,explore the formation and evolution of "Ku",the evolution process,combining theory concept,literature and work certificate.With the help of relevant materials of history of thought,words,and literary theory,we first expounded on the generation and enrichment of “Ku”,and based on ancient Chinese book theory,we explored the transformation and derivation of “Ku” in the field of book theory,and combined with specific bookers.And the style of the work to explain in depth the expression of “Ku”.Through the use of conceptual elucidation and the method of documentary evidence exchange,the connotation of "kū" in calligraphy aesthetics is fully revealed as far as possible.The thesis is divided into four parts.The introduction leads to problems and summarizes the research literature on the subject “Ku”,and introduces the significance of the research.The first chapter combs and expounds the category of “Ku” from the origin of the source,the significance of the literary theory,and the transformation and evolution in the book theory.In the second chapter,the sub-level categories derived from the category of “Ku” are “Ku jing” “Ku dan” and “Ku run”.With the aid of life experience and analysis of works,the case studies were selected by Yan Zhenqing,Xu Wei,Si Ming of late Ming,Fu Shan,Dong Qichang,Hong Yi Master,Badashan Ren,and Zhai Can.The third chapter discusses the causes of the “Ku” in the aesthetic imagery from the angle of techniques.The conclusion part summarizes and summarizes the arguments in this article.
