| Intracranial tumors refer to primary or secondary tumors in the cranial cavity,which can be divided into primary and secondary types according to different sources.According to the research data of 2014 China brain tumor incidence and death analysis released by the National Cancer Center in 2019,intracranial tumors rank the 9th in the incidence sequence of malignant tumors and the 8th in the death sequence,which has gradually become one of the important tumor diseases endangering the health and causing death of Chinese people.Because of the limited volume and location of intracranial tumors,there will be a series of tumor compression symptoms in the early stage of the disease,such as headache,dizziness,blurred vision and so on.If the brain tumor invades the blood vessels or continues to increase,it will further produce brain edema,increase intracranial pressure,further aggravate the compression of brain tissue,resulting in neurological damage of the compression site,such as vomiting,limb convulsion and other symptoms,and even life-threatening.At present,the main treatment methods for intracranial tumors are surgical treatment,radiotherapy,chemotherapy,interventional treatment,targeted treatment and so on.Western medicine has its unique advantages in clearing and reducing the local focus of brain tumor,but there is no corresponding treatment in the recovery of patients’ body function,improvement of quality of life,improvement of symptoms and signs,and prevention of recurrence.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is one of the comprehensive treatment methods for intracranial tumors.In terms of the understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of intracranial tumors,generally speaking,its pathological factors are nothing more than wind,phlegm,blood stasis,toxin,fire and deficiency.The pathogenesis belongs to the original deficiency and the standard reality,especially phlegm and blood stasis,which gather in the brain for a long time and become a lump.Therefore,based on the elimination of pathogenic factors,traditional Chinese medicine supplemented by strengthening is the basic method for the treatment of intracranial tumors.Generally speaking,TCM has unique advantages in helping western medicine to suppress tumor and eliminate water,improve patients’ quality of life,improve symptoms,signs and prognosis,and has the characteristics of small side effects,high safety,overall adjustment,not limited by dose and frequency,and can run through the whole process of intracranial tumor treatment.In this study,retrospective and self-control clinical research methods were used to analyze and evaluate the therapeutic effect of JiaWeiCiTao Pill on intracranial tumors.Objective:To observe the clinical effect and characteristics of JiaWeiCiTao pill in the treatment of intracranial tumors,and to inherit and develop the academic thought of TCM in the diagnosis and treatment of intracranial tumors.Methods:from January 1,2010 to December 31,2019,39 patients who met the criteria of diagnosis,inclusion and exclusion of this study were selected from the ward and clinic of internal Oncology Department of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in China-japan Friendship Hospital.By querying case information and telephone follow-up,we improved the imaging information of solid tumor and brain edema before and after treatment,headache,dizziness and NIHSS symptom scale of symptoms and signs,KPS performance of quality of life Status,and prognosis data,establish database,use data analysis software,analyze the improvement degree of data before and after treatment,get results,analyze and discuss.Results:the results of the following research indicators are all actual values.SPSS 22.0 is used to process the data and make statistics.①Evaluation of the curative effect of solid tumor and brain edema:in solid tumor,the total control rate of intracranial tumor reached 83.33%.the mean value before treatment was 6.40± 8.29,the mean value after treatment was 5.43 ± 7.00,P>0.05,there was no statistical difference,indicating that the improvement effect of JiaWeiCiTao Pill on solid tumor before and after treatment could not be statistically confirmed;In terms of brain edema,the total control rate of brain edema reached 83.33%,the mean value before treatment was 91.49 ± 115.47,the mean value after treatment was 46.45 ±63.92,P<0.05,which showed that the improvement effect of JiaWeiCiTao Pill on brain edema related to intracranial tumor could be statistically confirmed.② Evaluation of the curative effect of symptoms and signs:in terms of dizziness syndrome,the total control rate of dizziness syndrome reached 83.33%,the mean value before treatment was 7.28± 3.88,the mean value after treatment was 4.33 ± 3.96,P<0.05,which was statistically different,indicating that the improvement effect of JiaWeiCiTao pill on dizziness syndrome can be confirmed by statistics;In terms of headache syndrome,the total control rate of headache syndrome reached 78.57%,the mean value before treatment was 11.93± 4.03,and the mean value after treatment was 7.07± 4.80,P<0.05.There was a statistical difference,indicating that the improvement effect of JiaWeiCiTao Pill on headache syndrome could be confirmed by statistics;In NIHSS score,the total control rate of NIHSS scale reached 95.84%,the mean value before treatment was 2.05 ± 3.17,the mean value after treatment was 1.35 ± 1.55,P<0.05,there was a statistical difference,indicating that the improvement effect of JiaWeiCiTao Pill on nerve function could be statistically confirmed.③In terms of quality of life and prognosis:in terms of quality of life,the total control rate of KPS score reached 83.78%,the mean value before treatment was 75.68± 16.25,and the mean value after treatment was 78.65±16.70,P=0.32>0.05.There was no statistical difference,indicating that the improvement effect of JiaWeiCiTao Pill on quality of life could not be statistically confirmed;In terms of prognosis,of the 37 patients,16 died and 23 survived,12(32.43%)survived less than one year from onset to death,13(35.14%)survived from one to three years,and 12(32.43%)survived more than three years.④In terms of safety evaluation:there was no statistical difference between the values of sodium and potassium ions before and after treatment(P>0.05),indicating that JiaWeiCiTao pill had no effect on electrolyte before and after treatment;before and after treatment,creatinine data was statistically analyzed,before and after treatment:74.64 ± 41.95,after treatment:66.96 ± 34.06,indicating that JiaWeiCiTao pill had a downward trend,and P<0.05,indicating that JiaWeiCiTao pill had not only the effect of electrolytes.It is safe and has a certain effect on improving creatinine.Conclusion:①JiaWeiCiTao pill can effectively reduce brain edema related to intracranial tumor,showing its effective trend to reduce brain tumor;②JiaWeiCiTao pill can effectively alleviate the symptoms and signs of patients with intracranial tumor,and has certain advantages in improving the quality of life and prognosis of patients;③JiaWeiCiTao pill has no effect on electrolyte,and has certain effect on improving creatinine;④JiaWeiCiTao pill has the functions of promoting blood circulation and eliminating symptoms,resolving phlegm and promoting water,dredging collaterals and relieving pain. |
