Abstract/Summary:
Objective:The clinical efficacy of spirit-reinforcing and qi-regulating acupuncture therapy was adopted in the treatment of mixed anxiety-depressive disorder(MADD)and provided a new idea and a novel method for the diagnosis and treatment of this disease with reliable efficacy and safe procedures.Methods:60 cases with mixed anxiety-depressive disorder, who were admitted to the preventive treatment center outpatient of the The Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2018 to October 2019 and met the research criteria, were enrolled in this study.Among them, those who met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria of mixed anxiety-depressive disorder were recruited into the research group after informed consent.60 patients who underwent mixed anxiety-depressive disorder were divided into treatment group and control group by the method of random number table,28 cases in treatment group and 29 cases in control group were finally completed. The spirit-reinforcing,and qi-regulating acupuncture therapy was adopted for acupuncture intervention in treatment group.Sishencong(Ex-HN 01),Yintang(DU 29),Baihui(DU 20),Neiguan(PC 6),Sanyinjiao(SP 6)and Taichong(LR 3)were selected as main acupoints.Operational manipulations:At a conventional acupuncture depth, uniform reinforcing-reducing method was applied at Yintang acupoint,Baihui acupoint and Neiguan acupoint, reinforcing method at Sanyinjiao acupoint and reducing method at Taichong acupoint.Switch on the electric acupuncture apparatus, select a continuous wave frequency of 2Hz and start the treatment for 30min/time,6 times a week for 6 weeks. The control group was given point press treatment.Operational manipulations:Use the thumb, index finger or middle finger as a point press tool with manipulations of one finger pushing at the selected acupoints.Take the selected acupoint as the center, point press was performed at the acupoint around 2-3cm in a regular and uniform manner.Start with the head, then the upper limbs and followed the lower limbs.Three minutes for each acupoint with the stimulation of about 3kg No other interventions were performed and followed closely,6 times a week for 6 weeks.Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)and Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)were used for scale scoring and data collection before and after the treatment.SPSS 26.0 statistical software was applied for data processing and statistical analysis and objective evaluation and assessment were determined for its clinical efficacy.Results:1.Comparison of general information comparability:No significant difference was revealed in both age and gender(P>0.05)for the 57 patients with mixed anxiety-depressive disorder, who met the inclusion criteria, which was comparability.2.Comparison of HAMD score reduction rate:According to the HAMD score reduction rate and analysis of non-parametric test, the difference of clinical efficacy was statistically significant(P<0.05)between the treatment group and the control group. The total effective rate exhibited 92.85%in the treatment group and 55.17%in the control group.3.Comparison of HAMA score reduction rate:According to the HAMA score reduction rate and analysis of non-parametric test, the difference of clinical efficacy was statistically significant(P<0.05)between the treatment group and the control group. The total effective rate exhibited 89.29%in the treatment group and 51.72%in the control group.4.Comparison of HAMD scores:Before the treatment,no statistically significant difference was demonstrated in the HAMD scale scores for patients with mixed anxiety-depressive disorder between the two groups, and both groups were comparable(P>0.05).Compared with the HAMD scale score before treatment/observation and at the end of 6 weeks in the two groups, statistically significant differences were found in HAMD scale scores between the two groups(P<0.05).After the treatment, the HAMD scale score of the treatment group was revealed significantly lower than that of the control group, and the difference in HAMD scale score between the two groups was marked significantly(P<0.05).5.Comparison of HAMA scores:Before the treatment,no statistically significant difference was demonstrated in the HAMA scale scores for patients with mixed anxiety-depressive disorder between the two groups, and both groups were comparable(P>0.05).Compared with the HAMA scale score before treatment/observation and at the end of 6 weeks in the two groups, statistically significant differences were found in HAMA scale scores between the two group(P<0.05).After the treatment, the HAMA scale score of the treatment group was revealed significantly lower than that of the control group, and the difference in HAMA scale score between the two groups was marked significantly(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.The method of spirit-reinforcing and qi-regulating acupuncture therapy can improve anxious and depressive symptoms of patients with mixed anxiety-depressive disorder, and it has presented a good clinical effect.2.Using acupuncture therapy combined with preventive treatment of disease to intervene MADD has practical significance of disease prevention.
