High-quality doctor-patient communication speeds up medical problem resolution and reduces friction between doctors and patients.Among them, the doctor’s communication method and information transmission are important factors affecting communication.Patient-centered communication and doctor-centered communication exist in doctor-patient interaction. The information transmission in the process of doctor-patient communication includes disease information and treatment information. When different types of information occupy different proportions in communication, the impact on medical satisfaction has not yet been known. In addition, the transmission of risk information also affects the patient’s medical satisfaction. To this end, this study explores the impact of communication methods on patient medical satisfaction from an information perspective through three studies. In Study 1,the subjects communicated with virtual doctors through key-press responses, using communication methods and information types as target stimuli. The completion of a doctor-patient communication task aimed to explore the impact of communication methods and information types on patient medical satisfaction. It was found that in the communication between doctors and patients with migraine and brain cancer diseases, when the treatment information is more than the disease information, the subjects’ medical satisfaction is higher than the treatment information is less than the disease information and the treatment information is equal to the disease information. In addition,in a migraine disease, when the treatment information is more than the disease information, the patient’s satisfaction with the disease information is higher than the treatment information is less than the disease information and the treatment information is equal to the disease information. When the treatment information is more than the disease information, the patient’s satisfaction with the treatment information is higher than the disease information, and the treatment information and treatment information are equal to the disease information. The results show that no matter it is a chronic disease or a cancer disease, when the doctor gives more treatment information, the patient’s medical satisfaction is higher. The participants in Study 2 communicated with virtual doctors through key-press responses, using communication methods and positive and negative frames of information as target stimuli, and completed a doctor-patient communication task to explore the communication effects and the frame effect of drug side effects. The impact of patient medical satisfaction. It was found that doctors presenting a positive frame of information on drug side effects can achieve better medical satisfaction, and at the same time, they can achieve better patient satisfaction with information needs for treatment. The results show that the patients have high medical satisfaction with the information about the side effects of the drugs described in the positive frame. In Study 3,the subjects communicated with virtual doctors through key-press reactions, using the symmetry of communication methods and risk information as target stimuli, and completed a doctor-patient communication task to explore the symmetry of communication methods and risk information for medical treatment. The impact of satisfaction. It was found that when doctors gave symmetrical risk information, patients’ medical satisfaction was high.In addition, under the doctor-center communication method, presenting asymmetry risk information during surgery can obtain higher medical satisfaction. In addition, under the condition of satisfaction of patients’ information needs,it is found that when doctors give asymmetric treatment risk information, patients’ satisfaction is higher, and when patient-centered communication is used, when doctors give asymmetric treatment risk information,Patient satisfaction is high. The results show that when using the doctor-centered communication method, the patient has higher medical satisfaction when giving asymmetric risk information;when using the patient-centered communication method, the patient has a higher risk of giving asymmetric risk information medical satisfaction.
