| Purpose:In this study,by comparing conventional western medicine with acupuncture combined with oral modified flavor of Buyang Huanwu decoction in two different treatment methods for patients with acute cold-type peripheral facial paralysis,a more effective combination of treatment methods was developed.Provide some theoretical support and corresponding practical experience for the clinical treatment of this disease.Material and method:From August 2018 to April 2019,60 patients who met the enrollment criteria of the encephalopathy k1 department in the rehabilitation center of the affiliated hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into tw o groups,and 30 patients in the control group were given conventional western medic ine treatment.Thirty patients in the treatment group were treated with conventional we stern medicine plus acupuncture combined with oral Buyang Huanwu decoction.The o ral western medicine included: prednisone acetate tablets,vitamin B1 tablets,and vita min B12 tablets;acupuncture points were taken:Cuanzhu(BL2),Yuyao(EX-HN4),Sibai(S T2),Juliao(ST3),Xiaguan(ST7),Fengchi(GB20),Tongziliao(GB1),Yifeng(SJ17),Hegu(LI4);t he flavored Buyang Huanwu decoction is composed of: raw astragalus 30 g,angelica t ail 10 g,red peony 10 g,dilong 10 g,chuanxiong 10 g,Safflower 10 g,peach kernel 10 g,windproof 10 g,loquat 10 g,cinnamon stick 10 g,white scallion 15 g,and licorice 10g;14 days is a course of treatment,a total of 2 courses of treatment,2 days of rest b etween 2 courses,a total of 30 days of treatment,SPSS24.0 software was used to pro cess the data of the HB facial nerve function score table and the syndrome score tabl e of traditional Chinese medicine,so as to evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture and d ecoction on the basis of western medicine treatment.Results:1.Comparison of gender,age,course of disease,distribution of affected side,scores of HB Facial Nerve Function Scale before treatment and scores of TCM symptom scores of patients in the treatment group and the control group were all P> 0.05.Sex.2.For HB facial nerve function score and TCM symptom score,both groups decreased after treatment,P <0.05,that is,the two groups of treatment methods are effective;and the treatment group decreased more significantly,P <0.05,that is,the treatment group can improve patients symptom.3.The cure rates of the treatment group and control group were 20.00% and 13.33%,and the total effective rates were 83.33% and 73.33%.Although the cure rate and total effective rate of the treatment group were higher,P> 0.05,that is,both groups had Certain effect.Conclusion:Treatment of patients with acute cold-type peripheral facial paralysis with oral western medicine combined with acupuncture combined with Buyang Huanwu Decoction can effectively improve their symptoms,and is safe and economical,and is worthy of clinical promotion. |
