In recent years,the incidence of breast cancer in women has been increasing and showing a trend of younger age.Although with the development of medical technology,the cure rate was improved,the incidence grows faster,poses a great threat to the health and life of women.The social surveys have shown that breast cancer due to the particularity of disease,long duration and cost of higher reason,patients have different degrees of anxiety depression and other mental health problems,these bad emotions will affect the physical and mental health and the quality life of patients.The concept of social work is to help others and help themselves.Social work helps breast cancer patients with its unique humanistic care,professional work skills and provides professional services.It is also the development direction of medical social work.Based on the author's experience in breast surgery in a comprehensive tertiary first class hospital in Jiangxi Province and the guidance of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and the superiority theory and breast cancer patients,the author collect data through the literature method,interview method and observation method,investigating and analyzing the mental health problems of the service object: weak psychological endurance,serious negative emotions;low self-evaluation,negative self-worth;resistance to external communication,interpersonal communication barriers.The author estimated the demand of the service object by combining various aspects of Maslow's hierarchical demand theory.The service object faces the double pressure of economic shortage and disease suffering,the security need cannot be met;Fear of being ignored,not being loved by your family,strong emotional needs;The client gradually distanced himself from her friends after her illness,worried about others pointing fingers behind his back,and had a strong need for respect.In this paper,case work is used as the basic practical method to provide mental health support for patients and their families,and try to meet their needs at all levels,so as to improve the resilience of patients and their families.The purpose of this study is to present the service process of this case work completely.The service is divided into six stages.The first stage is to guide the client to vent and overcome negative emotions.The second stage is to guide the client to face up to his illness and establish a positive and optimistic attitude.The third stageprovides the client with economic support to relieve the mental pressure;The fourth stage is to explore the advantages of the client and form a correct self-evaluation.The fifth stage balance relationship,establish harmonious family;The sixth stage,the client should be encouraged to join the group and build a good interpersonal relationship.The research mainly use the form of interview to case intervention of service object,to evaluate the service process.Finally,it summarizes and reflects on the practical process.This paper presents the case study of intervention in the mental health service of breast cancer patients,which not only provides practical guidance for the case work in the service development of breast cancer patients,but also provides some references for the development of corresponding social work practices in the future.
