Clinical Observation Of Zhixue Huayu Decoction In The Treatment Of Retinal Vein Occlusion Of Yin Deficiency And Fire Vigour Type

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Zhixie Huayu Decoction in treating Retinal Vein Obstruction(non-ischaemic type)with Yin deficiency and Huowang Syndrome.Methods: All the data were obtained from Outpatient Ophthalmology of The Second Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.60patients(60 eyes)were collected in this research,and randomly assigned to the therapy group and the control group.The therapy group was treated with the Zhixie Huayu decoction,the control group was treated with Hexie Mingmu tablets,and the course of treatment was 3 months.3 months later,the changes of visua acuity,absorption of fundus hemorrhage and the score of TCM symptoms were compared before and after the treatment.Results: This research included 60 cases,after 3 months of treatment:5cases fell off,so the final therapy group 27 cases,control group 28 cases.There was barely noticeable difference in sex,age,course of disease,type of RVO,preoperative vision and TCM syndrome score before treating(P>0.05).After treatment,the aspects of improving the situation of visual acuity,fundus hemorrhage absorption and FFA circulation time were obviously better than before treating,among which the therapy group was better than the control group,P<0.05,which was statistically significant.In the aspect of improvement of TCM syndrome score,TCM syndrome score decreased in both groups after treating,in which the therapy group decreased obviously compared to the control group,P<0.05,which was statistically significant.Final outcome showed that the total effective rate of the therapy group was 92.59%,and the control group was 71.42%.After statistical analysis,the clinical effect of the therapy groups was obviously better than that of the control group,P<0.05,which was statistically significant.Conclusion: The Zhixie Huayu decoction can obviously improve thesymptoms and signs of patients who had non-ischaemic Retinal Vein Occlusion with Yin deficiency and Huowang type,relieve the symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine,improve the best corrected visual acuity,and promote the absorption of retinal hemorrhage.And the clinical effect of Zhixue Huayu decoction is better than that of Hexue Mingmu tablet.
